    Position Overview

    We are seeking an experienced Advanced RPAS (Remotely Piloted Aircraft Systems) Pilot to join our dynamic team. This role combines hands-on flight operations with strategic involvement in safety protocols, regulatory compliance, and project management. The ideal candidate will bring both technical flying expertise and a broader understanding of the drone industry landscape.

    Key Responsibilities

    Flight Operations

    • Conduct advanced RPAS operations using various aircraft platforms, primarily DJI systems
    • Plan and execute complex flight missions while maintaining the highest safety standards
    • Perform pre-flight inspections, risk assessments, and post-flight documentation
    • Operate in diverse environments and weather conditions within regulatory guidelines

    Safety & Regulatory Compliance

    • Develop and maintain safety management systems and standard operating procedures
    • Ensure all operations comply with Transport Canada regulations and industry best practices
    • Conduct safety briefings and risk assessments for flight operations
    • Stay current with evolving RPAS regulations and industry standards

    Project Management

    • Lead and coordinate multi-phase RPAS projects from planning through execution
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver client solutions
    • Manage project timelines, resources, and deliverables
    • Provide technical expertise and recommendations to stakeholders

    Team Collaboration

    • Work closely with our in-office team on project development and strategy
    • Mentor junior pilots and support team skill development
    • Contribute to business development and client relationship management
    • Support training program development and implementation

    Required Qualifications

    Certifications & Experience

    • Valid Transport Canada Advanced RPAS Pilot Certificate
    • Minimum 50 hours documented flight time on DJI platforms (Mavic, Phantom, Matrice series, etc.)
    • Demonstrated experience with various RPAS platforms and payloads
    • Clean flight record with strong safety performance history

    Technical Skills

    • Proficiency with flight planning software and mission management systems
    • Understanding of airspace regulations, NOTAMs, and flight authorization processes
    • Experience with data collection, processing, and analysis workflows
    • Knowledge of RPAS maintenance and troubleshooting procedures

    Professional Competencies

    • Strong project management skills with ability to handle multiple concurrent projects
    • Excellent communication skills for client interaction and team collaboration
    • Problem-solving mindset with attention to detail and safety-first approach
    • Ability to work independently while maintaining team integration

    Preferred Qualifications

    Industry Experience

    • Background in commercial drone operations (surveying, inspection, mapping, etc.)
    • Experience with specialized payloads (LiDAR, thermal imaging, multispectral cameras)
    • Knowledge of photogrammetry, GIS, or data analytics applications
    • Previous experience in aviation, engineering, or related technical fields

    Additional Assets

    • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification or equivalent
    • Safety management system (SMS) training or certification
    • Experience with regulatory submissions and SFOC applications
    • Business development or client relationship management experience

    Work Environment

    This position requires a minimum of 50% in-office presence in the Kamloops area to ensure effective collaboration with our team. The remaining time may involve field operations, client sites, or remote work as project demands require. Travel within BC and potentially beyond may be required for specific projects.

    Position Summary

    We are seeking an experienced Ground School Instructor to deliver RPAS (Remotely Piloted Aircraft Systems) training programs at Thompson Rivers University (TRU) in Kamloops, BC. The ideal candidate will bring real-world aviation and instructional experience to support the next generation of commercial drone pilots.

    Key Responsibilities

    Primary Instruction Duties

    • Deliver 5-day Basic and Advanced RPAS courses during weekdays at TRU
    • Facilitate evening Basic courses (Mon–Fri, 6:00–9:00 PM) over a two-week cycle
    • Lead Saturday flight training sessions (as part of evening course cycle)
    • Provide hands-on RPAS flight training using AIRS-standard platforms and curriculum

    Curriculum Delivery & Development

    • Teach Transport Canada-compliant RPAS curriculum
    • Integrate operational aviation experience into lessons
    • Develop and teach real-world flight scenarios and safety protocols
    • Support curriculum updates based on evolving regulations and technology
    • Provide feedback on student performance and course effectiveness

    Qualifications

    Required

    • Minimum 3 years of professional aviation experience (military or commercial)
    • Strong background in navigation, flight ops, or related field
    • Valid Transport Canada RPAS pilot certificate (Basic or Advanced)
    • Documented RPAS operational flight experience
    • Demonstrated instructional or training experience (ground or flight)
    • Excellent verbal communication and classroom management skills
    • Availability for evening and Saturday instruction

    Preferred

    • Background as a Canadian Armed Forces Navigator or Pilot
    • Experience with a variety of RPAS platforms and flight applications
    • Familiarity with Transport Canada aviation and RPAS regulations
    • Post-secondary education in aviation, engineering, or related field
    • Prior ground school or flight instruction experience

    Work Location & Schedule

    Primary Location

    • Based in Kamloops, BC (preferred)
    • Training conducted on-site at Thompson Rivers University

    Schedule Commitment

    • Weekday Programs: 5 consecutive days (daytime delivery)
    • Evening Courses: Two-week cycle, Mon–Fri, 6:00–9:00 PM
    • Flight Training: Saturdays during evening course cycles
    • Flexibility: Required to accommodate course expansion or additional demand

    Overview

    We are a growing drone services company looking for an experienced, proactive and organized Administrative Coordinator to support our operations, team, and clients. This position plays a critical role in keeping our business running smoothly by managing day-to-day administrative tasks, supporting project execution, and improving workflow efficiency across departments.

    Key Responsibilities

    Administrative Support

    • Assist with managing crew schedules.
    • Schedule, coordinate & document meetings.
    • Manage company emails and general correspondence.
    • Maintain organized filing systems and manage internal documentation.
    • Support onboarding and training documentation for new hires.

    Project Coordination

    • Track project timelines and assist with reporting.
    • Organize flight logs, photos, and project deliverables from field teams.
    • Assist with permits, waivers, and documentation as required.
    • Assist with coordination of project logistics.
    • Support Operations & AIRS Managers, Safety Coordinator & Marketing Manager as needed.

    Financial & Office Management

    • Help prepare invoice and expense reports.
    • Track receipts and organize monthly expense documentation.
    • Manage office supplies and equipment checklists.

    Sales & Client Coordination

    • Support the sales and training team with quotes, contracts, and CRM updates.
    • Prepare client presentations or summary documents.
    • Follow up with clients on project updates and service satisfaction.

    Marketing Assistance

    • Schedule social media content and track engagement.
    • Coordinate marketing emails or newsletters.
    • Collect content (photos, videos) from field teams for promotional use.
    • Coordinate special event logistics

    Preferred Skills & Qualifications

    • Documented experience working remotely, efficiently and with the ability to meet deadlines.

    • Firm understanding of accounting terminology and processes.
