Remote Sensing Solutions

With a commitment to innovation, we redefine what's possible

At Stinson Aerial Services Inc., we harness the power of cutting-edge sensors and imaging technologies to provide unparalleled insights from above. Our suite of services encompasses RGB, infrared, and LiDAR capabilities, each offering unique perspectives and deliverables tailored to meet the diverse needs of our clientele.

RGB (Camera)

RGB sensors capture colors using red, green, and blue channels just like your phone camera takes a photo. The images captured using an RGB sensor can be stitched together to create geospatially accurate orthomosaics and 3D point clouds.

Some of the RGB deliverables produced by Stinson Aerial Services Inc.

  • RGB Orthomosaics
  • 3D Point Clouds
  • Volumetrics
  • Oblique Ultra Zoom Imaging / Gridding

Infrared

Infrared sensors detect radiant energy produced by heat that cannot be seen by the human eye. To accurately detect heat anomalies drones are flown at night to reduce the interference of the sun’s radiant energy. Our clients utilize infrared sensors to detect things such as wildfire hotspots, animals, solar panel discrepancies, structure heat loss, search & rescue, and more.

Some of the infrared deliverables produced by Stinson Aerial Services Inc.

  • IR Orthomosaics
  • IR Imaging
  • Wildfire Related Maps
  • Infrared Reports
Hot spot in a forest
Scan of rooftop solar panels showing defects

LiDAR

LiDAR (Light Detection and Ranging) is one of the most widely applicable remote sensing technologies used today. LiDAR works by casting laser light onto a landscape and timing how long it takes to come back, generating a 3D point cloud that represents the scanned area. Our drone mounted LiDAR unit generates dense point clouds with horizontal and vertical geospatial accuracy down to the centimeter.

  • Digital Elevation Model
  • Digital Surface Model
  • Canopy Height Model
  • Change Over Time Analysis
  • Surface Water Drainage
